    Shining Stars Camps for Actors and Actresses with Special Needs

1 Week Long, Option of 2 Sessions - For Ages 5-18
SHINING STARS is a drama camp experience for children with special needs. This week long course will provide students with varying abilities the opportunity to expand their communication and social skills through dramatic play and storytelling. Kids with limited mobility or speaking abilities will be able to participate in creative ways. The class will be taught by a certified speech/language pathologist with a theater degree, and will conclude with a final performance.
Session 1 - Stars in Training: June 18th - 22nd (Regular Camp)
Session 2 - Shining Stars: July 23rd - 27th (Advanced, scripted.) *This session requires teacher permission to enroll. Please email for permission.*
Class time: 1pm to 4pm

    Creative Drama Mini Camps

3 Day mini-camps - For Ages 4-7
Session 1: June 25,26,27 from 10am to 12pm, taught by Rachel Ruge
PAJAMA PARTY! Our youngest actors will enjoy bringing their favorite bedtime stories to life using costume pieces, props, music and lots of imagination! Come join the fun, and be sure to wear your pajamas!
Session 2: July 23 24,25 from 10am to 12pm, taught by Elise Epstein
RAINBOW FISH - The Rainbow Fish comes to life with costume pieces and props and a lot of imagination.
Cost: $60 per session

    A.I.M. - Artists in Ministry

For Ages 12-19
Students improvise skits, choreograph dances, write or interpret songs, and then share their art with the community.
Rehearsals: Saturdays, June 9, 16, 23 ,30, July 7, 14 from 10am to 2pm
Performance: Saturday, July 14 at 7pm
Community performances set in June at the Pearl Street and 16th Street Malls

    The Music Man

Friends and Family Musical for Ages 8-80
The Music Man follows fast-talking traveling salesman, Harold Hill, as he cons the people of River City, Iowa, into buying instruments and uniforms for a kids' band that he vows to organize - this, despite the fact that he doesn't know a trombone from a treble clef. His plans to skip town with the cash are foiled when he falls for Marian, the librarian, who transforms him into a respectable citizen by curtain's fall.

    Monster Mash-up Melodrama
For Ages 12 - Adult
Western "monster" melodrama with shout outs to classic monsters (i.e. Mayor Mooney who howls and acts like a werewolf and gambler Count Vascular Leech who is out-for-blood!) It's the usual western characters, mashed up with Hollywood monsters, with a bit of mystery and mayhem. Rehearsals: Monday's & Wednesday's June 4th - June 27th 6pm to 9pm
Dress Rehearsals: June 25th-28th
Performances: June 29th and 30th

    Hello God, It's Me

For Ages 12-Adult
As her only daughter turns 13, Annalee reflects on the difference in her life at 13 and her daughter's. AS she looks back she must sift through the good times and the bad. Was God in the mist of things? If so where was He in all the dark times? Was he truly there in the good times? Follow Annalee's struggles and triumphs as she looks for God in the highs and lows through life. (Story based on events from Jenn Sharp's story)
Rehearsals: Monday's & Wednesday's July 2nd- August 13th 6pm to 9pm
Dress Rehearsals: August 14th - 17th from 6-9pm

    Puss In Boots

For Ages 7-12
The miller's son had very little money, but he thought it such a wonderful thing to hear a cat talk that he could not refuse her request. So, he took Puss to the shoemaker's for a very smart pair of boots.

    Pride and Prejudice And other Jane Austen Classics

For Ages 12-18
Famous scenes from Emma, Sense and Sensibility and Pride and Prejudice are selected and staged in this exploration of the romantic and witty world of Jane Austen.
Rehearsals: June 11th - 15th 9am to 12pm
Performances: June 16th at 4pm and 7pm

    Things That Go Bump In The Night

1 Week Long - For ages 8-12

Gather around the campfire for stories of ghoulies and ghosties and things that go bump in the night…
Rehearsals: June 11th - June 15th from 1pm to 4pm
Performances: June 15th at 4pm and 7pm

    Adventures in Neverland

1 Week Long - For Ages 8-12
Join Peter and Wendy and the Lost Boys as they embark on exciting adventures into Neverland.

Performances: June 22nd at 4pm and 7pm

    Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream

For Ages 12-18
Hermia is in love with Lysander, but she is betrothed to Demetrius. The King and Queen of the fairies are quarrelling. Artisans clumsily prepare a play to present at a royal wedding. The sprite Puck uses a love potion that causes even more confusion and trouble. All ends well, of course!
Rehearsals: July 16th - 21st from 9am to 12pm
Performances: July 21st at 2pm and 7pm

    Songs and Scenes from Broadway

For Ages 8-16
Explore scenes and songs from these musicals like Sound of Music, Annie, Peter Pan and more! Singing, dancing and acting will all be explored and discovered in this class. Brush up on your skills or learn brand new ones! This is a class for anyone interested in musical theater.
Rehearsals: July 9th - 13th 9am-12pm
Performances: July 13th at 11am and 7pm

    Swashbucklers, Scoundrels and Rogues!

For Ages 8-16
What do we really know about Blackbeard, Madame Cheng, Sir Francis Drake, and other men and women of pirate history? What drove them to sail the high seas? Come navigate the stories of some of the most notorious pirates in history.
Rehearsals: July 16th - 20th from 1pm to 4pm
Performances: July 20th at 4pm and 7pm
