Colorado ACTS presents a youth production of Campfire Mysteries! Gather 'round the campfire for some scary stories, just in time for Halloween! You'll have frightful fun as the smoke thickens and the s'mores get stickier! Bring the whole family for an afternoon or evening of spooky-fun theatre for a low price! All tickets, purchased at the door, are only $5 and children 5 and under are always free.

A classic Shakespearian tale is turned upside down with the help of Oregano, Carpaccio, Risotto, Prosciutto, Antipasto, Pesto, Mayo and Romano. Set in modern-day New York City, where the high-end Montague’s Department store and the cheapo Capulet’s Discount Mart — rival clothing stores — meet in the street to trade vicious insults. Words are their daggers, wielded with such finesse and skill that you could die laughing!

Hello Parents of Awesome Colorado ACTS kids,
Attention all Colorado ACTS kids ages 8-12! 
Audition for a SHORT FILM at our Colorado ACTS Theatre on TUESDAY, OCTOBER 25 FROM 4:30 P.M. TO 6:00 P..M. Here is the info:
Film Short Story Audition Info:
In brief, the story follows a young boy who saves his lunch money each day in order to fund the building of his dream soapbox car.
We will be auditioning for 5 specific roles:
Lead – boy, age 8-10
Lead’s Brother – boy, age 10-12
Racer 1 – boy or girl, age 8-12
Racer 2 – boy or girl, age 8-12
Racer 3 – boy or girl, age 8-12
We will also need 20-30 extras – boys and girls, age 8-12 AND parents.   
Auditions will be held on Tuesday, October 25th from 4pm-6pm at the Colorado Acts building. (11455 W I-70 Frontage Road North, Wheat Ridge, 80033)
Day one of filming will be on the afternoon of Saturday, October 29th for 3-5 hours. (We will confirm the actual time very soon.) The location will be a variety store in the Highlands. (Corner of 41st and Tennyson St, across from Cesar Chavez Park.) On this filming day, we will only need the lead to be on set.
We are anticipating at least two additional days of filming. One day we will need the lead and the lead’s brother. The other day we will need the entire cast including all extras. These two filming days will be during the second half of November, taking into account the Thanksgiving holiday. Final date tbd.

The Arvada Harvest Parade is an annual tradition for Colorado ACTS, and this year, we won the Grand Prize for our Wonder Woman float.

Please remember to check out our ongoing fundraiser: The Giving Tree.  As you walk in the front door of the theater you will see a large tree with tags noting various needs the theater has (such as cleaning supplies, snacks for concessions, sound equipment and set-building materials).  Your donation of any of these items allows us to keep our tuition low and provide the best possible theater experience for our students and audience members.
