Volume 13 Issue 3 Summer 2010

Board News April 2010

To all of you that make Colorado ACTS possible,

A great deal has happened since the last letter to all of you, and we want to thank everyone for their gifts of heart, time, talent, and money.

Programs
Class attendance is up, we have had very successful shows, and the young adults have been busy creating new innovative ways to reach new ACTS participants. Our summer schedule has been mailed out and is posted on our website, www.coloradoacts.org.

We have started an Aurora extension composed of Stacey Kasper, Luke and Shea Porter, and the Buterbaughs. They will begin offering classes this summer. Stay tuned for more information on those classes.

Marketing
Marketing efforts are beginning to pay off. We have had contacts with homeschool groups who are interested in what we have to offer and are looking into classes in the fall.

Joe Mondragon and Luke Porter have formed a production company called Anchor Productions. They advertise for bands to come and perform in the ACTS theater on non-show weekends. The audiences continue to grow, and money from these concerts is going directly to marketing.

Finances
Donations and back bill payments continue to trickle in. We have received nearly $5,000 at this point, but we really need families that have outstanding bills to pay them off, or pay on a monthly basis if possible.

Sharon has started a Flower Power fundraiser for spring, and she and her daughter Alyssa are putting together an ACTS cookbook for the near future.

Rachel Irvin is organizing a silent auction to run in conjunction with the opening weekend of our family and friends summer show, Kilroy Was Here.

Cindy and Erin have put together an interactive murder mystery dinner theater show April 16th, 17th and 23rd. Check out the details at www.coloradoacts.org.

We are renewed and excited about all that is happening and we look forward to all that is ahead of us.

Thank you for your continued support, hard work, and passion for Colorado ACTS,

Brian Tinker and the Colorado ACTS Board Members
