Dear Friends at Colorado ACTS:

I have been writing grants for nonprofit organizations since 2002, and have worked in various aspects of nonprofits for 17 years. I have learned that grant proposals are an essential part of any fundraising endeavor. The process of researching and learning the preferences of foundations, conducting research for the proposal, writing the proposal, gathering the attachments, and following up with the foundations takes skill, experience, time and effort.

This is what I am willing to provide.

My charge is $55 per hour. I cannot guarantee a certain amount of money will come into your organization because funding is dependent on many factors, including the viability of your project and whether funders to whom we apply choose to grant the money requested. However, I promise you that I will bring all of my expertise, passion and experience to each proposal that I research and write for you.

My track record is solid. In the six years I wrote for Open Door Ministries (www.odmdenver.org), an average of $80,000 per year was provided by grants. Since January 2008, I have written for Restoration Outreach Programs (www.restorationoutreachprograms.org). In 2008, we brought in 13% of the annual budget through grants, in addition to completing a capital project. In 2009 & 2010, ROP received an average of $60,000 through foundation grants (smaller budget than Open Door).

Overall, most of my clients receive $10 for every $1 they spend on my services.

I have also written for other Denver-based nonprofits. I specialize in smaller organizations and have experience with Christian, as well as secular programs.

Sincerely
