Colorado ACTS Fundraising Coordinator:
The Fundraising Coordinator is responsible for seeking out and executing new and profitable fundraising opportunities for the theater school. This person needs to be an optimistic and focused individual. Knowledge of fundraising for a non-profit is a preferred skill. This position is in charge of all fundraising for the school. The goal would be to run one profitable fundraiser per class. This position is responsible for seeking out and then carrying out each fundraiser. Colorado ACTS does have some leads and information on various fundraisers we have done in the past or looked in to in the past. This person is not expected to simply start from scratch, but new ideas and information on up and coming fundraisers is a huge plus. The compensation for this position is 20 percent of the profits from each fundraiser that is completed successfully. We would be happy to have several Fundraising Coordinators. For example, if you are only interested in taking on some smaller ventures (bake sales, car washes, etc.) or a couple of largerventures (silent auctions) we would be happy to hire several different individuals to fulfill all these needs.

ACTS Scrip Program
If you would like to receive a reduced tuition or even pay off your ACTS tuition, the Scrip program can help you.
If you’re wondering what scrip is, let me explain. Scrip is a fancy word for Gift Certificates. Colorado ACTS purchases Gift Certificates at a discount so when you purchase them at face value you get the savings put towards your ACTS account.
For example, we have $25 King Sooper gift certificates that we purchased at a 5% discount for $23.75 so when we sell them to you for $25 the $1.25 is put towards your children’s tuition. We have many different types of certificates:
- King Sooper – Earning 5%.
- Vitamin Cottage – Earning 5%.
- Sunflower Farmers Market – http://www.sfmarkets.com. Earning 5%.
- Safeway – Earning 4%.
- Barbes and Noble – Earning 10%.
GL scrip – We order from many different retailers the first Monday of every month (see below link for the list). http://www.glscrip.com/report/productlistreport.aspx?nogroup=1&Format=pdf&Extension=pdf The list shows the retailers available, the face value, and the percentage earned.
Wait! You think you know all about scrip? Did you know some of the cards are reloadable? The following scrip are reloadable so the only time you need to see your scrip coordinator is for the initial delivery: King Soopers, AMC Theatres, B. Dalton Booksellers, Banana Republic, Barnes & Noble Booksellers, AMC Entertainment, CVS/pharmacy, Exxon, Game Crazy, Gap, Hollywood Video, Lowe’s Home Improvement, Mobil, Old Navy, Papa John’s, and Starbucks What is scrip? Scrip is a fancy word for Gift Certificates. Colorado ACTS purchases Gift Certificates at a discount so when you purchase them at face value you get the savings put towards your ACTS account or towards the general scholarship program.
Don’t have a child in ACTS? Scrip can be Tax Deductible if the earnings are donated to ACTS and is not directly applied to your student’s tuition.
If you would like to buy some scrip or you would like to find out more, contact Patty Stricker at (303) 271-1774 or e-mail pmstricker@gmail.com.
